Surfing in Texas is super stoked on the Surfrider Foundation, and as Texas Surfers we’re excited for next week’s International Surfing Day on Wednesday, 6/20/12! There are three events scheduled in Texas, and we highly encourage you to check out your local event taking place in South Padre Island, Surfside, and Austin, TX. It’s a great excuse to celebrate the first day of summer in the water, and give back to our Texas coast and waterways. If you can’t attend any of the events, it is also a great day to join Surfrider or renew your membership with tons of membership deals available for one day only! You can view all of your local Texas chapter’s information here.

International Surfing Day is a worldwide celebration of the sport of surfing and an opportunity to give back to our coastal environments through various events organized by the Surfrider Foundation. Founded in 2005 by Surfrider Foundation and Surfing Magazine, International Surfing Day has gone from just a handful of local observances in the United States to more than 200 events in 30 countries worldwide. For more information on International Surfing Day, visit www.intlsurfingday.com.
